Yah! Summer is coming! Bare feet, shorts and t-shirts...soon we'll be swimming at the beach. We start swimming lessons in 2 weeks so we'll be rocking before we get out to Karekare.
This week Kasper went to Fat club where they had a mini Birthday party for Theo who is moving to Wellington. He spent almost 1 1/2 hours driving around in the push car. so maybe he will be a F1 driver yet...after all Kiwis are great at motor sports! ;0) Mainly Music had a dress up theme this week so Kasper went as a pirate with a kaleidoscopic telescope. Then Storyfest happened at our local hall with books and activities and vegie food and unicycles and juggling and poi making and face painting and DRUMMING! COOL! Can't wait until next year.
Then today the sun shone and it was a perfect day. We all had lunch at the Buddhist temple with uncle G and his folks, then looked at the AMAZING Asian embroidery exhibition, just like painting. Kasper was more interested in the choice echo in the gallery and the kids' drawings in the other gallery. Hung out with a few marble Buddhas then on to see Aunty Caroline's new house in Ponsonby. From there we all went down to the Kraftbomb mini craft market and had kale, kiwi, banana and apple juice smoothies while Kasper played on the jungle gym, tried to jump off the meter high platform and hugged the little girl in the pink tutu several times.
A little bit of gardening....cucumbers are in and the sunflowers and chili seeds are waiting to sprout. We planted swan plants too so hopefully we'll have loads of caterpillars and monarch butterflies in summer.
All that and Kasper learned to Bokbokbok like a chicken to go with his Moooooooo-ing like a cow. Sweet as, or as uncle Sami would say "Nice Ass".
lastly...
Happy Birthday Tinka!
