...the grass is riz. I wonder where the birdies is?
Well they're probably hiding from the snow; as the day after we took most of these photos it snowed 20cm and it's snowed all this week. It's meant to snow until Friday which is K's birthday. He says he's hoping for rain as that means winter's gone. Already it's light at 6:30am and not dark until after 8pm...and each
week that passes we get an extra 1/2 hour of daylight. Pretty soon we'll
be out in the forest picking berries again! Well not yet...but I did
get a cheeky little mountain bike in the forest the other night after
dinner.
The first of the spring shoots are creeping through...flowers will be back soon!
Just because it's spring doesn't mean it's warm...it's still hats, coats and jackets...but not the really thick ones any more!
Missioning it up the stairs to the church lookout in Marti.
K hiding out in the daffodils.
Sunny Sunday walk along the river.
This is K and E engrossed in the Finnish Palm Sunday tradition of gathering candy. Well sort of...kids decorate pussy willow branches and go along to relatives, friends and maybe strangers houses; sometimes dressed up as witches, and say a little poem which ends with the line something like "will you give me a chicken or an egg?" They then gift the branch and return a week later to collect their chocolate booty...or a live chicken if they're unlucky.
Emi rocking it on her Wishbone. Mandy: the basket is all set to go I just have to get the bike and it in the same place!
