Monday 27th October - Labour day

This week started with Kasper's Name day. Kasper got a new book: "Where the wild things are." and some Duplo (that's double sized Lego) as presents and a special strawberry and cream cake; which was enjoyed by all. Aunty Caroline came around for cake and ended up reading Kasper's new book to Kasper, Bonbon and Madison. Later on the Duplo went down very very well with Kasper...he hasn't stopped playing with it all week and sometimes just looks at it and laughs, like he can't believe his luck!

On sunday we started
Swimming school. Kasper loved being in the water and even seemed to get into going under the water when we dived under. The teacher was so impressed she suggested we move to the older class with the bigger kids next week. Sweet as! Then on Sunday afternoon Kasper and Aiti visited Caroline while Daddy studied...or tried to. Caroline has a cool back garden with lotsa flowers and ..... a concrete CHICKEN! Choice!

Today was Labour day(Vappu) so Daddy was at home all day. While Aiti slept in Kapser and Daddy went for a hike to try out the new baby backpack which works great. We saw waterfalls and an awesome view of Auckland including the habour and heard lots of tuis. Then in the afternoon we went and visited the Godparent's and got to see the chickens very close up(Kasper wasn't too sure about that...kinda scary) and even stroked a gecko.

What a great weekend! Summer rocks!
