Down on the farm

We had an awesome last few days. Nana and Papa broke into the piggy bank and bought the kids their choice of Lego. Emilia chose an assorted box of Duplo. Kasper chose a firetruck with trailer and inflatable...he hasn't put it down when we've been in the house since. On the third day of playing with it he can now build the whole thing by himself without any help! Nana and Papa have been awesome playing with the kids and showing us around town....I don't know how we would have managed without them.
Kasper has made his first friend in Finland, Kusti. He's the son of one of Mira's friends Hanna and is just about to turn 5 so he's about the same age as Kasper. The bonded over a love of Lego then just ran rampant...the language barrier didn't matter at all. Funnily Kusti speaks Swedish to Kasper as he knows he doesn't speak Finnish. We spent an afternoon playing at Nana and Papa's and then went out to Kusti's parent's farm today on one of the islands outside Turku. A beautiful house in the coutryside with sheep, ponies and a dog and a lush garden growing tomatoes, potatoes, peas, carrots, sunflowers, hemp, herbs, onions and lots more. Truely the "good life".
