Finland! We have arrived

Well, after 4 flights, 3 days and not a great deal of sleep we made it to Finland. London was a great chance to catch up with old frends and show off the kids. Kasper and Emilia loved the park next to John and Dowie's flat and asked to go there constantly. After 3 months of waiting and big upping the Natural History museum and dinosaur bones, Kasper and Daddy got there to discover a sign outside saying as of the week before the Dinosaurs were on holiday until mid JULY! But luckily they have lots of other random dinosaurs and the blue whale skeleton is rad! It was awesome to see Gloria and Cedric and we fully took advantage of the pubs on offer. London Summer however left a lot to be desired...we were all rocking jackets and hats

Emi rocking in London, literally.
Emi loving the playground in Mile End Park. This place looks great now they're fully doing teh whole area up in preparation for the olympics next year...if only Auckland could do it so well for the RWC. Kasper practicing his big boy climbing in London.
Emi and Cedric cuddling.
Emi and Gloria in the pub.

Post lunch at the Inn in the Park, Victoria Park.

This is the playground view of the stage at Seikkisrock. This is a yearly rock festival for kids held in Turku's central park. They had the usual facepainting, bouncy castle, climbing frames, paddling pool etc but 3 stages of rock music for kids too. We caught Moottörin jyrina who both Kasper and Emi liked. The highlight being a classic metal track about how well Sausages go with Ketchup. The day was awesome...it's been super sunny and 27c+ the whole time we're been here. Nana and Papa have been awesome driving or walking all over the place with us and loving catching up with the kids.
That's Kasper in blue hat and tee getting a better view of the band...he later changed sides and went as high as he could to fully get in there.

Moottörin jyrina rocking the kids! This was a cool art installation on the way home part of the European Capital of Culture celebrations. It was called Career Pathway and had about 200m of these boxes stenciled in English, Swedish and Finnish with chalk to add your dreams. Kasper said when he was little he wanted to be "one of the people that comes and stops animals getting sick" but Today I want to be "a drummer"....that one's not so clear on the pavement.
