Our House...in the middle of our street

After about 7 weeks of staying at Mira's folks (Kiitos Nana ja Pabba) we're finally into our own space. We've been in 2 weeks since we moved in but we're just connected to the internet and have got stuff away and in it's place....well for now until our stuff from the boat arrives in the next month or so. This weekend Sami(Mira's brother) and Anna get married so a lot of the focus has been on that....for example currently our lounge is decorated with 35 metres of handmade bunting.

So our new place anyhow...it's 82 m2 which is a bit smaller than our place in NZ but that seems to be the way here. 2 bedrooms, 2 floors, kitchen/diner, toilet and lounge downstairs and 2 bedrooms, landing, bathroom and sauna upstairs. Tiny backyard and roomy lockable bike/tool storage out front. Lotsa storage everywhere with a place for everything..love that Finnish planning. Kids are loving having their own space and the stairs. We're about 5 mins walk from the river, 15 from the centre of town, library, 15 mins cycle from the nearest island with woods ( for berries and mushrooms) and swimmable beaches and 20 from Nana and Pabba's. Lotsa parks nearby and a playground out the back, Next stage...jobs!

Not really a lot of photos on this post as we've been busy and well, I can't find the cord to the other camera which has most of the shots on it.
