Pärnussa

We went to Pärnu; the summer capital of Estonia, for a brief but awesome summer holiday for 4 nights with Nana and Pabba. After a brief 8 hour bus-ferry-bus journey we had an awesome time in the restaurants, parks, beach and other attractions this cute little seaside town has to offer.

K chilling out with a 12 year old python at the mini zoo. I'm pretty sure this was K's highlight because everyday after he asked if we could go to the snake house again. It wasn't so much a mini zoo as a display of one guy's love of poisonous and other wise scary critters.

K and Pabba getting up close with Emi sneaking a tail touch.

The town is filled with leafy churchyards...

...tree tunnels...

...and every street seems to have a tree lined footpath and cycleway.

Part of the sculpture trail in the beachside park. A little morbid but my favourite of the bunch...I'm guessing inspired by this.

Blue skies...

...totem poles ....

...and the cool looking mayor or Pärnu; Oscar Brackmann, who had the foresight to establish it as a summer destination back in the early 1900's.

K recovering from a somewhat traumatic introduction to funparks.....don't always trust the guy collecting your money who says: "yeah sure this one is fine for kids". There's a reason they have height restrictions on rides in most of the Western world.

I believe I can fly!

K mid dance routine.

Hmmm....not sure what's going on here.

Pärnu is split between the houses that have been reclaimed after the soviet era and renovated and the others that look like Herman Munster is in residence.

Cute..

..quaint ...

..and yellow.

Holiday words to live by.

K's first thought on getting on this scooter was "Can I do a drop off the steps?"

Rolling with Äiti.

Emi cruising.

The boys of summer.

Before.

After.

K and Emi's lunch at the Kapten's. Daddy might have helped a little.

Don't mess with the Punaista Käärmeita!
